Summer camps are a great way to keep your kids in a routine during the summer, while still allowing them to have fun and take a well-deserved break from school. More than that, they offer opportunities for development and learning outside of the normal classroom setting. Summer camps can help children explore new interests, meet new people, learn independence, and build confidence.
When it comes to summer camps, early is better! Many summer camps start registering as early as February. This is your friendly reminder to start looking into summer camps for your kiddos. If your child has never tried a summer camp before, this year would be a great time to go for it! There are camps for all hobbies and interests, and many camps offer scholarships or grants for families in need. Below are a couple of articles that list many Portland-area summer camps. Another great way to explore different camps is by contacting your local Parks and Recreation office or the office of your child’s school. If we can offer any recommendations for camps that our attorneys and staff are familiar with, please feel free to reach out!
